Habitat: 
They are found in diverse climates, from cold mountains to hot tropical regions. 

Nativity: 
They occur across East AsiaNorthern AustraliaIndia and the Himalayas. They also occur in sub-Saharan Africa, and in the Americas.

Special notes: Bamboo can be cultivated for ornamental and commercial purposes. There are many culinary and medicinal purposes too. Used for construction, furniture, textiles, paper, musical instruments, water processing, transportation, landscaping, and angling, the bamboo has a wide range of uses.
