Habitat: 
It is found in every kind of habitat, from deep woods to cultivated fields, from rocky hillsides to fertile gardens and lawns.
 

Nativity: 
Dandelions are thought to have evolved about 30 million years ago in Eurasia. They were introduced to North America by early European immigrants.

Special notes: 
They have been used by humans for food and as a herb for much of recorded history. The dandelion is a beneficial weed, with a wide range of uses. It brings up nutrients for gardening, and adds minerals and nitrogen to soil. It also attracts pollinating insects. It also has many culinary, traditional, and cultural uses.
